Vishnu and Naruda were sitting in deep conversation and Naruda asked “What is time Lord Vishnu?”
Vishnu replied “Why don’t you cross the river and find out?”
So Naruda went down to the river and swam to the other side, climbed up the bank and proceeded to the village where he stopped at the first house he saw and knocked at the door. The door was opened by the most beautiful woman Naruda had ever set eyes upon and they both fell instantly in boundless Love. Soon they were married and and as the seasons passed, they had beautiful children. But then, one day a great storm came and the river came down in a mighty flood. The village and the life Naruda had known and loved so deeply was completely washed away.
Suddenly Naruda found himself sitting with Vishnu again. “So what was it like?” asked Vishnu
Naruda then told Vishnu the story of his life in the village on the other side of the river, about his beautiful wife and and his children, his joys and tribulations, the animals and his garden and then about the flood that had washed it all away.
“But how can that be?” asked Vishnu “You’ve only been gone a moment!”
